Travailleur social
Hi! I'm a Black queer social worker, passionate about creating affirming healing spaces for BIPOC, queer folks and trans folks, though I work with many communities. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed with everything going on, and struggling to understand and regulate your emotions. Or, you’re finding it hard to deepen your relationships with others and connect with yourself. Whatever you're going through right now, everyone deserves compassionate support from a therapist with whom they feel seen, heard and understood. I believe that everyone has the ability to heal themselves, and it is an honour to support that process.
I use a liberation-oriented, and trauma-informed lens, with a deep commitment to anti-oppressive practice that addresses systemic issues. With warmth and curiosity, I weave in emotion-focused, somatic and yoga methods when wanted, to offer a gentle and non-pathologizing space for you to explore and work towards your goals, whatever they may be.
I know it can be difficult to share personal experiences with others, so I understand the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship where you can feel comfortable. Throughout our work together, we will move at your own pace, and centre what feels right for you. Feel free to reach out for information or to schedule a 20-minute call. :)
